New Year, New Health
Cheers to feeling better this year! You are already on your way dear reader, by taking a moment to read this newsletter.
We have all heard the many ways to improve our health. Eat more greens, prioritize sleep, sit less move more, cut back on sweets, develop an attitude of gratitude, make time for self care…need I go on? Truth be told, we are all likely guilty of choosing one resolution in the New Year and then abandoning it by Spring.
Interested in trying a new strategy? A new approach for 2024? Something that will stick? Let’s do it together!
Finding Your New Groove
Family and friends are an important part of your health, they provide comfort and support in all sorts of ways. But have you considered putting a Holistic practitioner in your corner too?
A Holistic practitioner will educate you and empower you with the knowledge you need to begin making changes and better choices. They can address current health problems and balance components to achieve wellness. They will take the time that is required to look at your case from a wholistic health perspective and will be able to help you find solutions that you have yet been able to find elsewhere.
Finding a good Fit
Be it a Homeopath (that’s me!), a Naturopath, an Osteopath, an Acupuncturist, an Herbalist, a Chinese Medicine or Ayurveda Practitioner, or a combination of a few, the most important thing is that you find someone who you can connect with, who hears you and sees you for who you are and what you are facing, and who you feel you can trust with your health. Finding the right practitioner is the first hurdle to cross. It might not be the first person you find, but don’t give up, the right person is out there for you, it’s worth it to keep searching!
Researchers have found that the relationship between you and your practitioner has the potential to have a big impact on your health and your growth. This makes it important to do your research, ask questions, and pay attention to your own responses in your search for the right practitioner.
Tips for Finding Your Person
- Be clear about your goals
- Check your finances and allocate funds for your health, or check with your insurance to see if you have coverage
- See if there is a referral or google review available
- Use local resources
- Utilize online databases or national organizations
- Ask questions
- Trust your instinct and follow your heart
