The Time of Pregnancy
Welcome to the Pregnancy edition of Homeopathy & Health Newsletter!
Did you know that Homeopathy can safely and gently relieve most pregnancy related symptoms and discomforts? Homeopathy is a gentle yet effective system of medicine which uses remedies that are highly diluted and are not chemical drugs, making them safe for both babies and mothers.
Pregnancy is a time of transformation. As your body nurtures the growth of a tiny embryo it is important to recognize the growth of your own self too (not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally). In her book, Homeopathy for Pregnancy and Childbirth, Rosemary Tayler shares the importance of both parents maintaining a healthy, happy disposition. It allows you to be better able to foster the healthy growth and development of your unborn baby.
The goal of homeopathy is to bring balance back to the body, and it is reassuring to know remedies can be used safely to help parents maintain health and wellness at all levels-physically, mentally, and emotionally-throughout the pregnancy. There are a few key remedies that you can stash in your kit to be ready for when they might be needed.
Remedies to Think of to Build Your Kit
Arnica and Pulsatilla are the two best known remedies to consider having on hand.
Arnica is known to help reduce shock and trauma to both the unborn child and mother. Be it from a routine test, a severe fall, or the emotional trauma of seeing something frightening, Arnica will reduce and remove the emotional and physical strain.
Pulsatilla is known to be able to flip a breach baby into a head down position, as well as help to avoid breech or other abnormal positions.
Ferrum Phosphoricum is excellent for mothers suffering exhaustion, and can also be taken at the first signs of a cold. It may quickly stop things from getting worse!
Cimicifuga is known to relieve great pain and backaches that are made better by warmth.
Carbo Veg is known to relieve heartburn.
Caulophyllum is most often associated with alleviating false labour pains in the last month of pregnancy.
